Xmas decorating for Wright Days

For the second year in a row the Wright Centennial Museum is sponsoring the Wreath and Christmas Decoration Silent Auction to raise funds for Wright Days next summer. A crowd gathered at the Wright Community Center last Saturday to start decorating the wreaths with all the trimmings.
“All wreaths and decorations have to be finished by Nov. 26,” organizer Debbie French said. “The wreaths and decorations will be displayed all around town before the auction.”
The silent auction is planned for Dec. 5 at the Wright Community Center where attendees can bid on the different wreaths and holiday decorations. The bidding starts at 5 p.m. and the auction is in conjunction with the Wright Christmas Tree Lighting event which always brings a big crowd.
“If you don’t want to bid on an item you can still place a vote for your favorite decoration,” French said. “Bring in a canned food item and place your vote. The top three wreaths will win a prize.”
The evening will also include snacks and drinks and Christmas carolers will be performing for all who attend.
All proceeds will go toward Wright Days 2019 with all food items being donated to the Wright Community Assistance
